In Matthew 24:35, the word of God says, "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away." All the promises God has ever made from the time of creation until now are for us today. Whateve He promises shall be done. A dishonest man may make a promise that he doesn't intend to keep, or an honest man may make a promise that he cannot keep. A man may even make a promise but die before he has a chance to fulfill it. But God does not change, He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
There is a promise in the word of God for your every need. Whatever your need may be, God's word has the answer. God promises comfort, healing, deliverance, peace, forgiveness, safety, strength, wisdom; you name it, He has it! And if God has it, you can have it.
Do you believe that God parted the Red Sea, that He sent fire from heaven to guide the Children of Israel, and that He gave them manna and quail, and water when they didn't have anything to eat or drink? Just believing all the things that God did in the Old Testament, or even things Jesus did in the New Testament is not enough. You must believe that God can do them today. It doesn't matter how rich or poor you are, you must simply say in your heart and with your mouth, "I Believe God," and God's promises will work for you.
The word of God says that God will supply all your needs. Do you think God really meant what He said? You might say, "I thought we were suppose to pray." You can pray but it won't do you any good unless your prayer reaches out and grabs hold of God's promises. If we want to get to know God, we must accept His word as true, and never doubt that He can do and will do today, what He did in the past, and what He will do today, He will do tomorrow. Today we may need a touch from God. You can continue to say, "Lord, please come by here," Lord, help me," or "Lord you know how I need you; or you can come to Jesus and receive whatever you need.
Will you believe the devil or will you believe God? God not only has the ability to keep every promise He has made, but He cannot lie and will never lie. Therefore, there is no possibility that the promises He has made to you will not come to pass in your life. If you want to see His promised fulfilled in your life, start by believing God.
From Genesis through Revelation, you cannot find one individual who could accomplish through competition what God had planned for someone else to do. God has always had a perfect plan for each human being that has ever lived on this earth. God's perfect will for all of us begins with our first breath of life. Living properly, according to the divine plan, takes twenty-four hours of every day until life is over. If we want to please God, when would we have one moment of time to do anything but His will for our lives? Read your Bible and you will find that those who pleased God were the ones who chose His plan. First, fall in love with the word of God and what it teaches because there are life-giving precepts in the Bible, the principles and guidelines to follow for everyone who truly want the very best in life spiritually, mentally, and physically.
Choose to accept God's promises to you from His word and believe. Let the word of God be not only a touchstone to which you constantly return for help and guidance in solving problems and reaching your goals, but also the foundation upon which you build your complete future. I'm reminded of a passage of Scripture in Matthew 7:24-27 which says, "Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it." In light of this passage from the Holy Bible, there are three things you can count on in life:
If you are wise and have chosen to build your house upon the sayings of the Lord, when the rains, floods, and winds of troubles and problems come, you can count on your house not falling. It cannot fall when it is founded upon the rock of God's word. Be wise, "HEAR THE WORD OF GOD AND BELIEVE IT!
